America, Do We Really Run On Dunkin’?

Earlier this week, Dunkin’ Donuts revealed their glazed doughnut breakfast sandwich– a combination of a glazed doughnut, bacon, and eggs. There is a combination of sugar, fat, and salt together which creates an addictive response in our brains. It shows there are 8 grams of saturated fat and 730 mg of sodium(1/3 of daily recommended amount) in one of these sandwiches! What do you think about this new creation?

  1. I personally, find it abhorrent. Although, from a business standpoint Dunkin’ has created an advertisement that does what all advertisements do – create a false need for something. Dunkin’ simply twists the verbiage to make it appear to be something that is good for you. From that standpoint it is brilliant, and they will sell a ton. Just like McDonald’s twists their verbiage to making it sound like anything they produce is actually food – which it is not. Tis what business is all about,$$$, it is the consumer that must be smarter.

  2. Its hard for me to have sympathy for people that end up with chronic diseases after they have spent years CHOOSING to stick their heads in the sand and pretend they don’t know this kind of food is poison!
